Austin FC names Jim Curtin as next head coach
Jim Curtin will take over Austin FC after the MLS season ends in December. Interim coach Davy Arnaud will stay in charge through the rest of 2026.

Austin FC has picked Jim Curtin as the third head coach in club history, but he will not start until December. Curtin spent 10 years leading the Philadelphia Union, making seven MLS Cup playoff appearances, winning the 2020 Supporters Shield and reaching the 2022 MLS Cup Final.
The hire comes after Austin FC parted ways with Nico Estévez and sporting director Rodolfo Borrell in May. The club still needs to fill the sporting director job, while Arnaud remains on the sideline for a team sitting 14th in the Western Conference before a July 22 home match against Seattle Sounders FC at Q2 Stadium.
