Separate shootings in North Austin and Northeast Austin left three people dead and one person injured. Police and sheriff's investigators asked anyone with information to contact tip lines.
Two overnight shootings left three people dead during the Fourth of July weekend. The first happened shortly before midnight Saturday in a North Austin bar parking lot, where two men were taken to a hospital and one later died. Another person was detained as part of that investigation.
A second shooting happened just before 4 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Bare Cabaret in Northeast Austin. A man in his 20s died at the scene, and a woman in her late teens died at a hospital.
