Austin storytellers gather around pizza at AFS Cinema
Color Arc Productions held its fourth annual Stories About event with a pizza theme, pairing a short film with brief live performances. The Austin nonprofit uses food and personal stories to bring local artists and audiences into the same room.
AFS Cinema hosted Stories About Pizza on Thursday night, with 14 participants sharing one minute pieces that included songs, flash fiction and drag performances. The program also featured Pizza My Heart, a short film written by and starring Color Arc founder Christine Hoang.
Hoang started Color Arc Productions in 2015 to support Central Texas stories told through different art forms and perspectives. Via 313 sponsored this year's event, and PBS is distributing Pizza My Heart, giving the local project a wider audience beyond the theater.
